NOTICE TO PATIENTS: CATCHMENT AREA REVIEW AUTUMN 2024
Dear Patients,
We would like to inform you that our surgery in Nether Stowey is currently reviewing the catchment area for new patients moving into the community. As part of this review, we are working closely with key stakeholders, including our commissioners, neighbouring practices, Somerset Healthwatch, and the Local Medical Committee. The goal is to ensure that new residents will have a sufficient range of GP practices available for registration.
We want to reassure all our current patients living in the Bridgwater area will remain registered with our practice. This review and any changes to the catchment area will not affect your registration unless you relocate to an area that falls outside of our new boundaries.
This adjustment is necessary due to the new housing developments closer to the surgery and patients living on the west side of Cannington, where there are fewer GP practices compared to areas like Bridgwater. Our realignment will help accommodate these developments and ensure that healthcare access remains balanced for all.
